    Adult Dyslexia - Conclusion 

    A few pointers to remember
    · The term dyslexia is defined as “problem with reading, learning and spelling and that too not because of less intelligence”. The origin of word “dyslexia” is from Greek dictionary, in which word “dys” means impaired and “lexis” means “word”.
    · “World Federation of Neurologist” gives the the bulk appropriate definition of dyslexia in the year 1968.
    · Dyslexia is “a disorder observed by trouble in reading, despite of straight instruction, proper intelligence and socio-cultural chances”.  This disorder is mainly because of fundamental disabilities. This means, dyslexics are the persons having general or more then an general intelligence.
    · Dyslexic can also go to schools. But because of insufficiency in language processing, they face difficulties in learning to read and spell. They are neither sluggish nor stupid.
    · As per British survey, 5-10% of all children are suffering from dyslexia.
    · They do not have severe visual or aural disorders. Also they don’t suffer from neurological disabilities.
    · They don’t face troubles in understanding subjects like Mathematics, Arts, Science, Economics or Geography. Language aspect is the only trouble that they need to deal.
    · Dyscalculia is another disorder, in which people face troubles in numeric together with reading, writing and spelling problem. People affected with this disorder are very less compare to that of Dyslexia.
    · Reason behind cause of dyslexia is not known. Many concepts have been designed considering it as neurological in nature. But it's world wide accepted that dyslexia is the disorder caused by insufficiency of language processor and phonological insufficiency in the body. Phonological insufficiency includes insufficiency in processing several sound samples within language.
    · Dyslexia can be categorized into two main categories:
    1. Acquired Dyslexia
    2. Developmental Dyslexia
    · Acquired Dyslexia:
    A person, not dyslexic by birth comes under Acquired Dyslexia category. As term itself suggests, person have acquired this disorder due to some strain to the brain. This strain can be resulted from an accident, which might have damaged part of the brain. Before the accident, this person will be normal and can speak, read and write language properly.
    · Developmental Dyslexia:
    Developmental Dyslexia includes person who suffers from Dyslexia by birth. They have common development in all other aspects except language. These peoples do not suffer from dyslexia because of trauma in brain, but its disorder by birth itself. So the term “development” is used for these categories of dyslexics.
    · Dyslexics are facing several different types of difficulties. It all depends on which part of brain is affected. Some dyslexics have visual problem while others have audible deficiency. Some have language-decoding problem other have difficulties in encoding. Language decoding troubles include the problems faced by the person in understanding verbal or authored language. While language encoding difficulties are the difficulties faced while expressing ideas or thoughts by speaking or writing.
    · It is very necessary to know and isolate the complexity of this disorder before finding the remedies of dyslexic. Because dyslexia is caused due to several deficiency and no two dyslexic will express the same deficiency. Each has his unique combination of difficulties. So before remedy, expelling cause of such disorder is more important
    · With modern computers and technologies, success ration of dyslexic being cured is increased to amazing extend. Now days in market several software i.e. Lexia Reading Program, Kurzweil 3000, interactive CDs etc are obtainable which has helped many in recovering dyslexic. This software includes interactive sessions and helps in improving encoding and decoding text.
    · If dyslexia expert gives proper treatment, dyslexic can go too far in all fields including academics. But this treatment way is not short. It takes long time to recover a person from dyslexia. But once proper treatment given to any dyslexic, he/she can also compete common person.
