    Overcoming Adult Dyslexia

To overcome, Dyslexia several researches is being carried out in whole world. Some of the researches are being successful to certain extent. Here are mentioned some research studies that are carried out for overcoming dyslexia.
    Research studies on Dyslexia:
    · A research study implies that around 9 percent of the school children alone in Unites States suffer from Dyslexia. Some research studies suggest this rate up to 17 percent. In European countries, this problem could be much larger. There is inappropriate support and interest in learning abilities of children in schools in US, Canada, New Zealand, UK and several other countries. While in some other countries, children are suffering from learning and development disorders.
    · Basically Dyslexia is brain based or neurological condition. In this condition, there is poor communication between left and right hemisphere of brain. It is a learning disability in which school children have difficulty in reading, writing and spelling. Also in some cases dyslexic are visually impaired that is they unable to observe properly. While there are also cases of hearing insufficiency where dyslexic can not hear properly and thus this all outcomes into encoding and decoding problems. Decoding means person is unable to interpret what is authored or problem in reading text. While encoding means to show one’s own cosidered and thoughts by writing or reading.
    · The word Dyslexia came from Greek dictionary, where “Dys” means “impaired” and “lexis” means “word”. Children who suffer from dyslexia are called dyslexic or dyslectic. Despite of common teaching and sociological environment, dyslexic is unable to develop writing and reading skills. Generally, dyslectic children are not less clever. They even don’t suffer from troubles like less eyesight. They have all physical and mental abilities except reading and writing skills.
    · Along with reading and writing disabilities, they also have problem in speaking and non-language difficulties.
    · Compare to girls, boys are more dyslectic.
    · This disorder can be mild in some case while severe in other. Also conditions for being victim of this disorder differs from one person to another. That is one person might be having this disorder from birth while other person have become dyslexic after some main accident or brain injury. Based on this they can be classified into categories given below:
    1. Acquired Dyslexia
    2. Development Dyslexia.
    · Term dyslectic should be applied to children who have severe learning problems. Because poor reading skills do not mean that you (your children) are suffering from dyslexia. Reason behind this might also be poor teaching technique.
